Act 1 scene 6, scene 7

Characters: Duncan, Malcolm, Donalbain, Banquo, Lenox, Lady Macbeth, Macduff, Rosse, Angus and attendants.  Also Macbeth.

Time: This is at the same time as before, but behind the castle. A while afterwards we learn Duncan has begun eating.

Location: At first we are behind the castle. Then we are in a room off to the side.

Events: Duncan is welcomed Macbeth’s home. This is done by Lady Macbeth. Duncan talks about how sweet the air is, and Banquo agrees greatly. Then we see Macbeth talking to himself…Macbeth nearly convinces himself not to kill Duncan as he is a kinsman, guest, king and more, but Lady Macbeth comes in and begins to convince and insult Macbeth into the killing of  King Duncan. Lady Macbeth decides to get the guards drunk to the point of being in a coma, and then Macbeth can take a knife from a guard and use that to kill the king. Therefore, the guards can be framed for the murder of the king.

Quote:” Your servants ever have theirs, themselves, and what is theirs, in compt, To make their audit at your highness’ pleasure, still to return your own.” This is said by Lady Macbeth who the audience can tell is lying when she says this. By saying this, the audience can learn a bit of how she continues to pretend to be just a servant to the king. What the king believes her to mean is that she and her husband will let the king use their home for his own pleasure. The act one scene 7 quote is: “vaulting ambition, which o’er-leaps itself and falls on the other-… How now! what news?” The first part is said by Macbeth as he slowly realizes how trying to be king is too much ambition, and that it can’t be good for him, when suddenly Lady Macbeth bursts in and interrupts right at the crucial moment of realization.

Metaphor In Shakespeare.

“This ignorant present, and I feel now the future in the instant.” This was said by Lady Macbeth, in act 1 scene 5. The task is to find a metaphor that describes Lady Macbeth and her desires.

Lady Macbeth wishes to make the now known future of Macbeth, her husband, come true. “This ignorant present, and I feel now the future in the instant.” What I believe this to mean is that Lady Macbeth believes she knows how the future will go and that it comes closer to the now, while the “present”, who are the people who live there like King Duncan remain ignorant of what is too come. Shakespeare continues this in the next paragraph.

And that is the task over. do tell me if a correction could be made.

I need a book.

For class I need a book. I’m planning on reading a Skulduggery pleasant book, but I would prefer not to as I have read the series 2 times now and need to move on. So if you have a good idea, just comment them below. I also need that book by Friday.

I look forward to see what you say.

Logan Lambert.

Edit: I have decided to read “Mortal Fire” by Elizabeth Knox. Thank you for all your suggestions!

Can emotions be conveyed by how you talk?

My hypothesis is about how people can use the tone of their voice, and the way their body moves to get somebody else thinking that the person who is talking is feeling a certain emotion. I believe this to be true as I use this type of speech everyday, and have discovered that people will be more likely to listen to what you say if you are speaking with emotion. My proof: Everyone listens to me.

Now some people probably disagree with this proof as it is slightly biased. So I shall now begin an argument to prove myself correct. Now the first argument is that someone cant talk with emotion. I beg to disagree. Just make someone else laugh, then get them to speak. They should notice that they speak differently than normal. This is because they are happy, and are subconsciously changing the tone of their voice. As more proof, you should notice that if they get them selves to to feel a different emotion they will sound different.

“Alright then, but that doesn’t mean you can get people to believe you are feeling something different simply by the way you sound, and anyway we can tell the different between faked voices, and real voices,” Is what someone may be saying right now. Now that simply isn’t true. Sure, a lot of the time it is possible to tell the difference between faked emotional voices and real emotional voices, but that is because they don’t practice. See here, we SUBCONSCIOUSLY change our voices. So that is why it is difficult to fake it, mainly because we don’t know what we normally sound like when we are feeling a particular emotion. So all that is required is practice to convince someone of a faked voice.

“But what about the whole idea of feeling emotion? Wouldn’t being able to fake emotions be quite a big problem?” Well this depends on the fact that pretending to feel emotion and tricking other people can be both useful or bad. As with most other things, an object or idea can be taken to be  a very bad thing, or it could be quite good. Like with banana’s and how they are healthy for you but their skin can trip someone up. Also like nuclear power, and how nuclear power can be used to create nuclear bombs, but also give a huge amount of energy(which is how a nuclear bomb works). Being able to decide what emotion everyone else believes you are feeling is the same. It can keep people from worrying about someone if they pretend to feel ‘normal emotional amount’s which is bad because if they have to do that, then there is something wrong with them, but it can also allow somebody to help another person because emotional support can be quite useful for another person.

This argument with an imaginary person has actually allowed more proof in to my argument. Every time an argument against my hypothesis was made I found a way to beat back this argument, then I found some evidence so that they couldn’t argue back in that direction again. By now, most people will agree with me that emotions can be conveyed in a persons voice, and that those emotions can be used however they like. But that it will also take practice, anywhere from 2-10 years of life to learn how to properly control someones emotional tone of voice. Which is all going towards why people really can effect the idea of emotions in their voice.

Evidence for hypothesis:

My hypothesis basically explains how people can change the way they speak simply by changing the tone of our voice, and the way our body moves. Today I will show you the proof for this, and later I will explain what all this together means.

A large portion of evidence is in a normal spoken-out-loud conversation between Luella and I. If you watch it, you will notice that I(Logan Lambert(The blond kid)) speak with a certain tone in my voice. You will then notice that Luella talks to me about my happiness. I mean, it wasn’t exactly nice what she said, but she did talk about my voice and how happy I was sounding.

Another portion of evidence can be found within the on line conversation between us.

“LH ooh. Ur first insult. Im so proud of u.(clapping hands)

LL ur proud of an insult? Wat is wrong with u?!

LH (smiling face) yup”

This slice of our conversation shows how the use of emoji’s can convey many different emotions at once, like here with the clapping hands that could show either sarcasm or actual pride. And that smiling face emoji shows us that happiness is what they are feeling. Of course, all this also shows us another thing. That we can trick people with how we sound. What I mean is that someone could easily lie with what they are feeling over a text based conversation. like they could just talk like normal on a text book conversation, when they are really feeling quite sad, or angry, or maybe even happiness.

Do remember that all this is just evidence for some thing I shall soon write.
